Cooler Master Sentinel Advance Pro Reviews

bjorn3d‘s review Edit

The Cooler Master Sentinel is a great entry for Cooler Master into the peripheral market. The mouse also lives up to the other products in the Storm series, which is saying a lot. The mouse has a nice comfortable feel to it. Not only that, but the materials feel of high quality except for the buttons. The buttons felt kind of cheaply made. The three buttons that feel the worst are also used the least (DPI up and down, and Profile select buttons). The back and forward buttons (by your thumb) also feel a bit cheap, but they are not too bad.

Fudzilla‘s review Edit

CoolerMaster’s Sentinel Advance gaming mouse is priced at about €60 but if you’re looking for a top quality mouse, then look no further as Sentinel Advance will surely be a perfect addition to your gaming arsenal. Our testing revealed that Sentinel Advance is truly one excellent piece of hardware, and we had no choice but to dub it a "Fudzilla Recommended" piece of equipment. We'd like to thank Cooler Master Balkan for providing our today's test sample.

The CM Storm Sentinel Advance is a great mouse, but Steelseries' Ikari Laser Mouse costs a similar amount and is much more comfortable.

With many hours of use, both in FPS gaming like UT3 and average use at the desktop, I have found both the Sentinel and the Tactics DC pad a pleasure to use. Out of the box, the majority of the “eye candy” and functionality work even without the drivers installed.

bit-tech‘s review Edit

In the end, the CM Storm Sentinel is comfortable to use, delivers just about every feature we can think of for a gaming mouse and does so at a reasonable price. It's a little bland-looking, and it doesn't deliver anything ground-breaking to the world of gaming mice, but overall it's a well-executed peripheral.

techPowerUp!‘s review Edit

The Sentinel Advance gaming mouse does what it is supposed to, clean and simple. It has an abundance of extra features which you may or may not need. To me the mouse is over the top in regards to aesthetics, all the lights in the world do not make it any prettier. If CoolerMaster had spent more time on the design rather than on the lights I bet they could have made a killer mouse, but that is not the case.

hardwaresecrets‘s review Edit

The body design allowed for several hours of comfortable and precise gaming. The eight programmable buttons were used to the fullest and even lead to unusual situations, like experimenting to assign the Rapid Fire function to the main left click button, leaving regular shooting to button 4 above the thumb rest. Overall we were very excited about such an excellent gaming mouse coming from a first timer as Cooler Master.

While the onboard memory may not be a unique feature, Cooler Master’s take on it is interesting to say the least. I personally love having the possibility for a ton of profiles and being allowed to only load the ones I need. This makes it infinitely more flexible and adaptable to any situation than nearly every other mouse I have used.
