Cooler Master Storm Inferno Pro Reviews

bjorn3d‘s review Edit

The CM Storm Inferno is far from a cut down version of the CM Storm Sentinel Advance. It might have lost the weight distribution system but it gained a few features of its own, like more memory for macros, and the ability to define one extra level of resolution for the mouse. More importantly though, it is a comfortable mouse that works well on any surface, and works great in both games and applications. The only issue we can see is the Philips Twin Eye Laser sensor bug, but we think it is such a minor issue that most people won’t notice it.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

All in all it is a well thought out product with just a few weaknesses. This product also fits in well with the other devices within the Storm series line up. The 49 Euro (RRP), price tag, is appropriate although there are cheaper options such as the (Logitech G500). Because of its good value for money however, we would definitely recommend the Cooler Master Storm Inferno.

Fudzilla‘s review Edit

We found Inferno to be a really quality mouse that is becoming our faithful companion really fast. The downsides are only few, with the lack of weight system applying only to those that prefer FPS gaming. However, the mouse is designed to please MMO gamers and as such, we have no choice but to award it.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

There's something that feels rather cut-down and cut-price compared with CM Storm's last rodent-based outing. It feels like the budget sibling, and while it's cheaper by a fiver, it still feels a lot more lacking than that.

hardwaresecrets‘s review Edit

Do you enjoy customizing your mouse? To have several commands literaly at hand, at your fingertips? Do you consider having seven or eight reprogrammable buttons to little? Then the CM Storm's Inferno gaming-grade mouse is for you. The company released a eleven-button (nine of them reprogrammable) model with a huge scroll wheel and a comprehensive software that is capable of everything but making coffee. We were impressed with the choices the Inferno had to offer, pardon the hellish pun. As usual, we'll begin exploring the physical aspects of the mouse than its configuration options and, finally, we'll go to the best part: how it fared while gaming.

overclockersclub‘s review Edit

When it comes down to it, the Cooler Master says they built the Inferno specifically for MMORPG and FPS gamers specific needs and that it was. Not only is the mouse very customizable when it comes to the buttons, it just feels right in your hand. It was able to provide me with a nice ergonomic design that supported my hand while I was holding on to the mouse in a very natural and relaxed position. The button placement on the mouse is just about perfect. Every single button is in perfect reach for you to easily press when needed, the only two buttons that I had a little bit harder time to get to were the two Rapid Fire Tactical keys.

benchmarkreviews‘s review Edit

The Inferno performs like the high-grade mouse it was designed to be. The precision and accuracy are excellent. Under most circumstances the Inferno performs to spec. On shiny surfaces the lift-off distance could be lengthened beyond spec of 2mm up to 5mm. With the 115 inches per second movement rate the Inferno is accurate enough for even the lowest sensitivity users. The points per pixel and DPI scaling were very accurate and repeatable. The wide, flat design of the scroll wheel takes it from a secondary or tertiary button to one that can be reliably used for primary functions. The pressure required to activate the click is strong, but did not cause me any issues.
