MSI FX600 Pro Reviews

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

Generally speaking, the MSI FX600 is a decent enough notebook, and for its price of S$1499, it's not too expensive either. If you don't need top of the line performance from a notebook, but something that can handle pretty much of everything, and is affordable, then the MSI FX600 should definitely be in your shortlist. Its unique blend of specs and features (especially the full HD screen and quad speakers) in an unpretentious design might make you think it's another wannabe, but on closer look, it's one of the more interesting multimedia notebooks. Just don't expect it to be a speed demon and take note what makes it unique from the rest of the crowd.

If you're on a budget, more of a casual than a power user and want a relatively rugged laptop that will happily handle multimedia, Blu-rays and light gaming, the MSI FX600 is a great all-round package. You can get better multimedia laptops, but only if you spend considerably more.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

It delivers good gaming results and satisfactory overall performance combined with high-build quality and decent ergonomics, but fails to match up to the fearsome performance and specification of Medion’s Akoya P6624.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

If you want a multimedia notebook, well capable of playing Blu-ray movies and reasonably cutting-edge games, the FX600 doesn't disappoint. Its spec is surprisingly well-balanced, with a bright, vibrant LCD screen, and its good quality sound is a useful addition to the mix. Battery life is only average, but most people will run this machine from the mains.

Blu-ray usually means paying a premium, but MSI may have found the right balance between performance and cost with the new FX600

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

With the FX600-i5447W7P MSI produces a 15.6-incher for daily use. It's only suitable for current games with some losses (details, resolution), yet it scores points with its very good sound (four loudspeakers), low heat waste and insusceptible matte surfaces.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Ultimately there's a lot going for the FX600. If MSI can sort out the spongy keyboard and chassis design, it just may be on to a winner.
