NOKIA C5 Pro Reviews

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The Nokia C5 certainly isn't perfect with its slightly cluttered interface, lack of Wi-Fi, screen with poor viewing angles, and no support for nested text messages. But, if your main concern is getting a slim, light and well-built phone simply for making calls and sending texts, then it's still a contender.

After using the device for about two weeks, I think that Nokia did a great job in this case. Nokia C5 is way over the mid-budget line in terms of features, even though its price is so low. C5 is a good-looking phone that will definitely rock your world.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

It's pretty clear that we lost the geeks way back on page 1. Congratulations to all those of you who're still with us. We think we've got a phone for you. The Nokia C5 hasn't got all the features ever invented - it's the sensible buyer's choice. Performance within budget and a sense of style, the C5 is well on target.

I’ve got to admire Nokia’s keenness to put Ovi Maps on every handset in its portfolio, but when a screen is just 2.2in across diagonal corners it is not particularly workable. Yet the Nokia C5 is a compact, well-made, functional handset with good user ergonomics, as far as the keypad goes. If you are a frequent texter who regards this as a primary activity, it is certainly a handset to consider.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

The C5 might look simple on the outside, but it's nothing like that within. Underneath its 2.2-inch screen, lies Symbian S60 version 3.2, a mobile platform that's seen deployment on Nokia's various smartphones such as the Nokia E72. Similarities are aplenty, and thankfully so. This includes Nokia's Ovi Maps with a lifetime navigation license (which should be the case for all future Nokia smartphone series) and the full suite of Ovi services. As such, you can also browse the Ovi Store and download music off the Nokia Music Store. Downloading apps and music would rely on the C5's inherent HSDPA connection of up to 10.2Mbps as the unit doesn't come with a Wi-Fi connectivity option.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

You can't not like the C5. Nokia has known how to make a perfectly good mobile phone since 1998. From the perspective that this device is for making calls, there's very little to fault. If you're a Nokia user considering an upgrade, and this falls within the right price bracket for you, we've no qualms recommending it. If you less familiar with Nokia and want something fairly simple, but might like to do a bit of Facebooking, then you should also consider this a recommendation.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

The Nokia C5 is exceptionally well-made, comfortable and snappy device. The in-call and audio playback quality is decent, the handset supports Nokia Messaging, the camera will do and the A-GPS coupled with free navigation is welcome indeed. Our only gripe relates to the mediocre display and lack of Wi-Fi.

The Nokia C5 won't get you excited, but if you're after a relatively inexpensive smartphone and aren't interested in touchscreens then it may be worth a look.
