Samsung SP-H03 Pro Reviews

Macworld‘s review Edit

While the SP-H03 didn’t excel in all of our display criteria, it put up a decent fight when compared with more expensive models and is the very essence of portability. For its price and remarkable design you can forgive the SP-H03 its lack of brightness; onboard storage and a removable battery also improve its score. Whether you hold it in your hand, mount it on a tripod or sit it on a desk, the SP-H03 is a convenient projection device that, in darker rooms, offers a brilliant image at a decent size.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

This is a 'grab and go' projector for replacing a laptop screen and is not suited for high-end presentations; the lack of any keystone features to adjust angles is one indication of this. That said, the Samsung SP-H03 can produce a solid, colourful image when set up correctly and offers incredible portability, so could well be an ideal option for some.

Although flawed, this is the best pico projector we've seen so far. If you're planning on using it for PowerPoint presentations, bear in mind there's no remote control for the internal media player.

Samsung's tiny H03 pico projector offers appealing looks and great presentation combined with decent battery life, above-average performance and more features than you can shake a long stick at (including native document viewing and video playback). Its only real flaws are awkward controls and a lack of any digital video input, but its bargain price makes that easy to forgive.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Samsung SP-H03 is suitably small for a pico projector, brighter than most, and offers lots of flexibility for image sources, from computers to video devices to microSD cards.

ProjectorCentral‘s review Edit

If you are a mobile presenter that really likes to travel light or you want to watch movies while traveling with an image bigger than your laptop display, then Samsung's SP-H03 might be the answer. It is compact, light, and puts up a surprisingly good picture for its size. With only 480 lines of vertical resolution, it is more suited to movies and PowerPoint slides than detailed spreadsheets, but battery life is close to two hours, and many image formats can be displayed. Ambient light can be an issue and there is no digital input, but at $299.99, the SP-H03 is a serious contender in the pico projector market.
