HTC HD mini Pro Reviews

ITreviews‘s review Edit

The HTC HD mini is a small format Windows Mobile smartphone which fits neatly in the hand and pocket. It has plenty of features, and Windows Mobile fans may find the HTC Sense user interface a real boon.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

The HTC HD mini is pretty much what a modern-day smartphone should be all about. We are not talking the ultimate of technology, a ridiculously expensive piece of gear to flash around and impress everyone around. We mean a handy working tool that can also keep you entertained.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

For us, the HTC HD mini is a clear representation of the Taiwanese company's continued effort in the propagation of the Windows Mobile scene. And it's aptly done by targeting both the niche and mass market groups. Whilst the earlier HTC HD2 caters to power users, the HD mini brings it closer to the masses with a more manageable form factor without yielding the features that made it a good fit.

reghardware‘s review Edit

The HTC HD mini is a nice little handset. The touchscreen is responsive, the camera impressive and thankfully, Windows Mobile is, for the most part, hidden behind the Sense UI. However, with Windows Phone 7 just around the corner, the HD mini might find itself a victim of those wanting to wait for the new OS. That and a lack of ability to customise the home screens, as you can with Android, could be its downfall.

Engadget‘s review Edit

If you take the time to train up your non-techy friends on how to use this phone, they'll most definitely thank you for it. This is because the Mini truly is a smartphone and it truly advances functionality and utility beyond the feature handset division, but for the love of all that's holy in tech - don't let them see the real HD2.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The HTC HD Mini looks like a pretty good deal. It might not be a super-charged device but does most things well enough. It has a good looking, and more importantly, usable UI and touch input works well.

There is something appealing about the HD Mini: it bucks the trend for ever larger screens and packs a lot of power into a device that’s very small, pocketable and very attractive.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

We liked the HTC HD Mini far more than we expected to, and it has proved that Windows Mobile can't be written off just yet. After using the HD Mini for a while, devices like the Apple iPhone 3GS and HTC Desire just feel huge in the hand, and for many, size does matter. Put simply, this is the best Windows Mobile handset currently available, and it makes us think that HTC will have something very special for us when Windows Phone 7 finally hits the street.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

At this year's MWC, HTC, the premier Windows Mobile phone manufacturer, officially announced what's maybe one of the last smartphones to run the condemned Windows Mobile 6.x.x OS - the HTC HD mini. As the HD mini arrives at this world during what's probably the last days of the Windows Mobile platform as we knew ...

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Overall the HTC HD mini isn't as compelling a we thought in our First Look back at Mobile World Congress this year. Having lived with the HD mini, the shortcomings of less processing power, smaller screen and Windows Mobile sitting behind everything makes a difference. This isn't a cut-down version of the HD2: the HD2 performs beautifully, whereas the HD mini has to battle it out to be anything more average.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

For those of you that want the quality and features of a top-end smartphone but want a slightly smaller device, the HTC HD mini is the only real option. As such, we think it's well worth a look if size really is that important to you. However, if you can possibly cope with a bigger phone, there are definitely better options out there.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

There's a lot to love about HTC's HD2 Windows Mobile smartphone. Maybe too much, considering its massive size. That's where the slick new HD mini comes in, offering most all of the HD2's features, but in a much more pocket-friendly package.

SlashGear‘s review Edit

It sounds like a recipe for success: take the surprisingly popular HTC HD2, shrink it down some, and offer it as a more pocketable alternative. Yet out of the three devices HTC announced at Mobile World Congress in February, the HTC HD mini has prompted the least interest.
