Acer beTouch E400 Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

Acer's new beTouch E400 is slim and elegant Android phone with a 3.2in touchscreen. It has touch-sensitive buttons below the screen, which makes the entire fascia a flat, glossy surface. Acer kindly includes a plastic screen protector in the box, along with three different-coloured backplates for you to choose from: black, white or burgundy red.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

As a mid-range smartphone the Acer beTouch E400 offers some nice visual touches in the chassis design department. Its extras, such as Spinlets and Acer widgets, are not enough on their own to draw us to this smartphone, though, and the battery life is not great.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

With the ability to make your own avatar and interchangeable covers, the Acer beTouch E400 is an ideal Google Android smartphone for younger users.

reghardware‘s review Edit

Acer’s E400 is the top of the beTouch range, but it isn’t at the top of the Android smartphone range, in general. The screen is on the small side, the camera leaves a bit to be desired, and the processor struggles at times. In terms of specs and capability it is more middle of the road than trailblazing.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The E400 is certainly attractively priced and has a decent range of features. However, the design is a tad dull and the lack of a capacitive screen and support for multi-touch is disappointing. As a result, we can see the E400 struggling to get itself noticed when up against the likes of HTC’s similarly priced Wildfire.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The Acer beTouch E400 offers a reasonably stable Android experience which has only been lightly tinkered with by Acer. It doesn't offer the best experience because of the hardware specs, however. The screen could be more responsive, it could be a higher resolution, the camera could perform better and the design could be tweaked to make better use of space.
