ATI Radeon HD 5570 Pro Reviews

computershopper‘s review Edit

The $80 HD 5570 more than doubled the performance of the $50 HD 4550 in nearly all our tests, but its DirectX 11 performance was far from stellar.

The Radeon HD 5570 offers gamers an option between the Radeon HD 5450 and Radeon HD 5670. However, for not much more cash, the Radeon HD 5670 provides a much needed boost in games to provide a better gameplay experience.

HotHardware‘s review Edit

The Radeon HD 5570 performed relatively well in our testing. In light of its $79 - $85 projected price point, the Radeon HD 5570 produced respectable frame-rates. Generally speaking, performance was significantly higher than the Radeon HD 5450 we showed you last week, but lower than the Radeon HD 5670 and GeForce GT 240, sometimes much lower. Power consumption for the Radeon HD 5570 was very low, however, and its performance during our multimedia tests was excellent.

ExtremeTech‘s review Edit

So, at least for now, the GDDR5 5570 is a solid deal. There's not a lot of leeway, though. At around $89, the ATI Radeon HD 5670 comes into the picture and offers an additional (if minor) performance bump across the board. If you want to make every penny count and not shell over any more of them than you have to, the 5570 is a well-priced card for adding an extra dose of oomph to not-too-intensive gaming sessions. Assuming, that is, you can find one of these cards out in the wild.

Either way, if you are in the market for a low-end graphics card for an upgrade over an integrated graphics solution or for a new HTPC then the Radeon HD 5450 and HD 5570 will likely fit the bill pretty nicely. My favorite is probably the HD 5450...

TechSpot‘s review Edit

The Radeon HD 5570 is also one of the more powerful low-profile graphics card we have come across, a trait certainly worth mentioning. Having that said, it is not the most powerful. From a gaming stance, it remains true that the more you can spend the better, considering that cards offered for $30-50 more can double the HD 5570's performance, while lacking some of the flexibility of the form factor and power consumption. Compared to the previous generation product that it's effectively replacing, the Radeon HD 5570 is a slightly more compact and faster version of the Radeon HD 4670.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

And from a performance standpoint, there really is no comparison, seeing how the Radeon HD 5570 was consistently quicker than its rival across all benchmarks. In fact, discounting the slightly high operating temperatures (again understandable given its tiny cooler), this new Radeon HD 5570 is quite simply one of the most accomplished low-profile cards in the market.

Tom's Hardware‘s review Edit

Aside from raw gaming performance, it's important to acknowledge that the features being offered by ATI's Radeon HD 5570 are, in fact, compelling today. Consider that this is a half-height reference card, able to transform even the smallest systems into viable gaming machines. Power usage is extremely low for the performance offered, and no auxiliary power connector is needed.
