Viliv S5 Pro Reviews

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

As UMPCs go, the Viliv S5 Premium delivers on many of its promises, although the disappointing 3G performance will deter some people and the software keyboard makes it a poor choice for anyone who frequently wrangles Office documents. For this price, you can get a nice, lightweight netbook or even notebook. We recommend checking out the Viliv S5 Premium only if you absolutely must have a 500g Windows PC that works well with Wi-Fi, and you're not expecting to do a lot of typing. Although as the Viliv S5 Premium becomes more readily available in the UK, you can expect the price to drop.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Viliv S5 Premium is a pocket-sized MID with a touch-only interface and a full blown operating system, but the price is real deal-breaker here.

LAPTOP Magazine‘s review Edit

Excellent endurance, a good touch interface, GPS, and optional mobile broadband makes this a compelling but pricey mobile Internet device.

HardwareZone‘s review Edit

It's hard not to compare any MID with other currently available devices. Though to be fair, MIDs can have their own niche and eat it too. The problem here lies with what you can really do with a MID that's not already possible in the latest generation of smartphones. Even our own analysis of the situation just one year ago that MIDs, UMPCs and netbooks would pick up steam was partially right - netbooks did dominate the industry, while UMPCs were sadly left floundering in its wake. MIDs however are only barely starting to show up.
