Creative have made the WoW branding as important to this headset as the audio and wireless aspects. It’s a shame, because while we really like how the headset sounds and feels, we'd never end up buying it. In fact, the set I have from Creative is going to undergo some serious modding to remove all the superfluous fluff!

A price tag of almost £150 might seem like a lot for a set of gaming headphones, but it’s not unreasonable when compared to similar wireless headsets such as the aforementioned Sennheiser RS 160. In addition, the WoW headphones also provide some fun customisation options that will appeal to the game’s many dedicated followers, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if quite a few guild members find themselves settling in for a long evening of gaming with the World of Warcraft headphones quietly glowing atop their pointy little ears.

hardwaresecrets‘s review Edit Like Unlike

We've already tested plenty of headsets here and the WoW Wireless Headset retired them all; you can't beat the comfort, immersion and wireless freedom. It's very expensive, but well worth it. Just don't tell your gaming buddies once you get it.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit Like Unlike

The Creative Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Headset is interesting bit of kit. Playing games and watching movies on it sounds good, though you'll want to avoid music even if you're not a hardened audiophile. The customization features are fun, but ultimately they're a little gimmicky and you won't get a lot of value out of them long-term.

Macworld‘s review Edit Like Unlike

The Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Headset is not just for WoW players. Yes, it comes with a WoW-themed design and interface, but Blizzard's cardinal rule for the designers at Creative was to make it a great headset for gamers in general. And in that regard, Creative succeeded fantastically.
