I recently switched to Sprint from AT&T mainly for this phone. Also is for Sprint's amazing pricing plans. They are far superior to AT&T and Verizon. As long as their service works in your area, then there is no reason to be on Sprint. That was my mind set. Anyway back to the EVO. This is by far the best cell phone I have ever played with. I love to get the newest and greatest phones out there all the time. After my two year contract I will be very surprised to see what they have next cause I can see myself using this phone for a long time. The screen on this is amazing. Yes it is a very large phone because of the screen size. But it is not all that heavy. And fairly thin. I am coming from using a Nokia 5800, Palm Treo Pro, Nokia e71, AT&T Tilt. This far surpasses all of those. I love having capacitive touch screen. Did not really know until now what I was missing out on. After using the Nokia 5800 I did kind of want a physical qwerty keyboard again. And yes I know the EVO does not have this. But it does not matter. The on screen keyboard is really nice. The EVO has a dictionary built in that predicts the words you are trying to type, so you just have to be careful cause sometimes it will insert a different word than you were typing. No big deal, if you catch it before moving onto the next word and click on the correct one, the EVO saves it for next time. All the apps are sweet too. Now even though I am coming from AT&T, I never tried out the Iphone. I debated it, but AT&T's data package prices are terrible. Hence the switch. But even though I never used the Iphone I would have to say this phone (EVO) is right up there if not better. The one thing to get use to while using such a powerful phone is the battery life. It is absolutely terrible. But I carry a car charger and USB charger with me. It typically gets through the day at work (I turn off my GPS cause I do not get the best signals up where I am working right now and that saves a lot of battery life). I highly recommend this phone. You can do anything with it.

Best Birthday Present Ever...

Absolutely love this freaking phone. I had come from a Blackberry Curve 8520 with a 320X240 screen to this hulking multimedia monster. :) It was a birthday/father's day present - my wife spoils me.

I was a little wary with it at first but once I put the platinum series case on it (from Best Buy) and a Zagg InvisiShield on the front I felt much better. I probably could have done without either, but I wanted to protect this beautiful piece of machinery.
