expertreviews‘s review Edit

Slow-motion and 40fps continuous capture are great but image quality lets it down.

Casio's EX-FH25 offers a lot of exciting and fun features that should keep all but the most demanding photographers smitten. The 20x zoom range offers plenty of flexibility in a compact form and the high speed modes allow you to be creative, or simply to increase your chances of getting the shot you desire. Even without these extras, the EX-FH25 proved itself a capable camera in testing, producing images of good quality in a wide range of conditions. If this camera ticks all the boxes for features, then the £300 price tag should represent good value for you.

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

There's no doubt that while the Casio EX-FH25's 20x optical zoom on offer is one of the more modest 'super zooms' currently on the market, it does, forgive the pun, afford a wide degree of creative versatility. Build quality feels robust despite the plastic construction, and while we may grumble at the inclusion of AAs rather than a rechargeable pack for power, there are those who will feel comfortable with being able to find easy replacements without having to pack a charger and worry about plug compatibility when traveling abroad.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Though the Casio can take in a wider range of subjects than a compact with a lesser zoom, there are better value deals for those looking for an even broader focal range and a more general-purpose performer. For example the Fujifilm HS10 and Olympus SP-800UZ both offer 30x optical zooms for an identical price. OK, so the Fuji, which would be our overall choice of the three, offers 10fps stills as opposed to the Casio's 30fps, and if action photography is really your specialist subject, that might make all the difference. But then again if you're really serious you'll want better image quality anyway, and thus may be adoringly studying a Canon EOS-1D Mark IV, despite the eye-watering price tag.

Steve's Digicams‘s review Edit

The Casio Exilim FH25 is a full-featured, Mega-ziim camera that is equipped with a set of features that is unmatched by any other consumer camera, but lacks in overall image quality.
