Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

Excellent video quality is the highlight but photo quality is disappointing considering the high price

ITreviews‘s review Edit

The DMC-TZ10 looks superb and is solidly built with all manner of hardware features. On the downside it is rather expensive and we have to wonder about the sense of keeping the GPS on permanently as it hammers the battery.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 provides a superb general snapping tool in terms of the subjects its lens focal length can encompass. Image quality is on a par with similar cameras and the features list is particularly impressive at the price too making the TZ10 great value for money and certainly a snapper that need s close attention if you want to buy a compact, longer zoom lens camera that’s easy to use but able to offer advanced shooting options as the user grows in confidence.

DigitalCameraReview‘s review Edit

At the top of my review, we asked if Panasonic knew what it was doing by introducing a "superzoom" with a 12x lens when so many other companies are pushing toward the 30x range. With an apology to a certain car insurance commercial, does Charlie Daniels play a mean fiddle?

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 is the most expensive pocket superzoom of the pack, but it does deliver solid shots, even in low light, along with a handsome feature set for the discerning photographer.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Despite the softness of its images and the poor definition when you examine the photos closely, the LUMIX DMC-TZ10 is a much better camera than the DMC-TZ8 and the inclusion of a GPS device makes it an even better proposition for travellers than previous travel zoom models. It also has improved controls compared to the TZ8. We like its close-up capabilities and depth of field characteristics, and the big zoom can definitely come in handy when you want to shoot close up details while visiting Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, for example.

softpedia‘s review Edit

Although compact digital cameras are usually a lot less “glamorous” than DSLRs, for example, they still make up the bulk of sales, and Panasonic, as well as the other digital camera manufacturers out there, knows this only too well. For this reason, they're constantly making sure that amateur photographers are provided with the necessary “cannon fodder” for their summer (and winter) holidays, at the same time adding just a little extra coolness in special cases.

LetsGoDigital‘s review Edit

Whether or not we find GPS to be a striking feature, the quality of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZT10 is high and Panasonic has managed to deliver an excellent digital mega zoom camera once again. The extensive setting possibilities support each other optimally and the combination between software and hardware forms a powerful package which gives you a fine camera for all-round photography. Whether you choose the automatic or manual settings, in both cases you will shoot creatively with the Panasonic Lumix TZ10!

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The Panasonic Lumic DMC-TZ10 is a well-designed, solidly built and extremely versatile camera with a lot of useful features. The 12x zoom, optical image stabilisation, HD video and excellent low light performance are the main benefits, and manual exposure is a nice bonus. The GPS feature is a bit of a gimmick, and drains the battery too fast to be much real use.

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 is an excellent travel-zoom camera, with the notable additions of manual shooting modes and GPS tracking sure to continue the TZ success story, albeit at the real expense of a higher price-tag than the previous TZ7 model.

Camera Labs‘s review Edit

Panasonic may no longer have the compact super-zoom market to itself, but the latest Lumix TZ10 / ZS7 remains a highly compelling camera that’s likely to sell by the bucket-load. It takes the already excellent Lumix TZ7 / ZS3 with its 12x zoom, 720p video, 3in / 460k screen and multiple aspect recording, and enhances it with GPS capabilities, manual exposure options and an enhanced Intelligent Auto mode, along with two extra Megapixels.

The Imaging Resource‘s review Edit

I had a little trouble with the Panasonic ZS7 because too many of the intelligent features didn't work for me. Features like Intelligent ISO, I learned to leave off. Others, like Intelligent Exposure, I decided offered much less help than I'd hoped. And some, like Intelligent Resolution, seemed to be no-brainer benefits. Ultimately, though, I found trusting the camera in either regular Program mode or Intelligent Auto routinely captured a better shot than I could in Program mode with all the extra features.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

A very good, fully loaded compact megazoom, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS7 offers a lot of shooting flexibility and a built-in GPS.
