Olympus Stylus Tough-8010 Pro Reviews

The Imaging Resource‘s review Edit

Ultimately, it's hard to find a more rugged camera, but the Olympus Tough-8010 really needs a speed improvement. Most people needing a rugged camera would also like a fast one for capturing their lives in action. Last year's Stylus Tough-8000 was a better camera in terms of speed and image quality, but if you need a tough camera, the Stylus 8010 is one of the toughest.

ephotozine‘s review Edit

If you are looking to purchase a camera in the Olympus Tough range then the Mju Tough 8010 is a camera worth looking at. If your budget can stretch, then the extra £75 that the Mju Tough 8010 costs over the Mju Tough 6020 gives you a better image performance, particular when zoomed to its maximum telephoto length. You also get the extra shockproof, waterproof and crushproof performance for the added cost which will give the extremely active more confidence that they are buying a camera that can keep up in some potential harsh conditions.

reghardware‘s review Edit

Summing up the Olympus 8010 is difficult. It's hard to quantify exactly how tough it is - its specifications and my experience during testing suggests it's hardier than most compact cameras - if you're headed into the wilderness and need an utterly dependable camera the Tough 8010 should survive longer than most.

Steve's Digicams‘s review Edit

Olympus's new Stylus Tough 8010 is a go anywhere compact digicam, designed to be tough enough for even the most adventurous person. Although the performance has slowed compared to the previous model, the image quality is good and the addition of a 5x optical zoom and a dedicated Video Record button really add to the camera's versatility.
