PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The LG Rumor Touch is the best you can do on Virgin Mobile without stepping up to a smartphone. Anyone with the cash should consider the BlackBerry Curve 8530 ($249.99, 3.5 stars), which offers much more powerful e-mail, messaging, an app store, and several good third-party Web browser options. The Curve 8530 loses the touch screen, though. Otherwise, the Rumor Touch is a terrific bang for your monthly buck—especially for teens who want to text like mad on that $25 plan.

Phone Scoop‘s review Edit

As a strict improvement over the LG Rumor2, the LG Rumor Touch offers significant benefits, including faster networking, a larger keyboard and better social networking support built in. But it still falls behind with a lackluster, and occasionally frustrating interface design.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

The LG Rumor Touch is the third Rumor phone from LG on Sprint, and it's the first to offer a full touchscreen display. While the phone worked well during my testing, I wholeheartedly thought it felt dated from the second I turned it on. Data speeds were slow and web pages rendered awkwardly, the user interface wasn't fun to use, and its primary focus, messaging, was limited and watered down. The Rumor Touch may serve well as a first phone for some, or as a strictly SMS/MMS and calling device, but anyone else will soon find themselves wishing it could do more.

LG scores with the Rumor Touch, a capable messaging device with plenty of thoughtful design touches that combine well with Sprint's reasonably-priced data plans.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

LG has had a lot of success with their Rumor line on Sprint, along with variants on Alltel and now Verizon Wireless. However, two generations in more of the same will no longer do for Sprint customers so LG has made some major changes to the third member of the Rumor family. As the name implies, the Rumor Touch adds a touch screen to the familiar side-sliding design, but the upgrades don’t stop there...
