SANYO Xacti VPC-SH1 Pro Reviews

Macworld‘s review Edit

I wish the Sanyo Xacti VPC-SH1 provided higher data rates, cleaner low-light video, a built-in lens cover, and better image stabilization. But fulfilling those wishes would probably raise the price of the camcorder. The VPC-SH1 is not a great camcorder, but considering its price, that’s OK. Its blend of respectable video and still image quality, compact but not cramped size, functional core features, support for the easy-to-edit iFrame format, and reasonable price make the Sanyo Xacti VPC-SH1 a good, sensible purchase.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Compact dimensions and instantly reachable controls means that operating the Sanyo Xacti VPC-SH1 is a fluid and intuitive process. And so, whilst this may be less flashy and its image quality less impressive than devices with better lenses and additional hard drives costing twice the price, the SH1 will invariably get taken out more often.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

We had some quibbles about the physical shape of the Sanyo Xacti SH1 and can’t imagine holding it for extended periods. A tripod would definitely be welcome to ease wrist cramp. However, this well built and attractive dual-mode camera/camcorder produces both decent video and photos.
