Acer and ASUS opt into Tizen; HTC ponders say sources

Tizen, the platform that gobbled up MeeGo, may only be a few days old but already it’s reportedly gaining support from new companies including ASUS and Acer. The firms are each apparently set to add Tizen development to their engineer’s workload, DigiTimes‘ sources claim, with HTC said to be “currently evaluating its decision.” The shift in OS focus will mean that ASUS and Acer’s existing MeeGo device plans are put on ice, it’s suggested. »read more
