Verizon claims 36 buyers interested in its 700MHz spectrum

As part of its plan to gain FCC approval for the purchase of AWS band spectrum from a group of cable companies, Verizon is offering to sell certain blocks of its 700MHz spectrum that other companies could use for LTE(INFO) based 4G network services, just as it and AT&T have done. In a letter to the Federal Communications Commission, Verizon says that it has lined up 36 potential buyers for the spectrum - all of which are restricted from speaking of the deal by a non-disclosure agreement, of course. »read more
