MSI has announced it is now shipping Nvidia's fastest graphics card in its GT70 gaming notebook and introduced two more value-oriented gaming notebooks.

NVIDIA: there's nothing 'Ultra' about Ivy Bridge Ultrabooks unless you add Kepler
Like UnlikeFiled in: NotebooksIntelnVIDIA
This is a vaguely awkward message for NVIDIA to be putting out. On one hand, the company is best buddies with Intel and is hoping to see its next-gen GPUs bundled with a large portion of the Ivy Bridge notebooks that will ship this year. But to reach that target, it must risk irking Chipzilla by emphasizing the limitations of Ivy Bridge's integrated graphics. That's exactly what happened at a recent presentation, when NVIDIA told us there'll be "nothing Ultra" about the performance of a regular Ivy Bridge Ultrabook because the integrated HD 4000 graphics will only handle around 43 percent of current games.

Acer has officially taken the wraps off its newest ultrabook, the Aspire Timeline Ultra M3, a 20mm thick, 15.6 inch system that happens to be the first of its class to use a dedicated GeForce graphics chip. It's not just any dedicated graphics chip either, but rather Nvidia's long-awaited 28nm Kepler GPU.
The machine is powered by a Sandy Bridge Core i5 or i7 processor with integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics and a GeForce GT 640M to take care of the more demanding graphics duties. It features Nvidia's Optimus technology for automatic switching between the two GPUs, helping the Ultra M3 achieve up to eight hours of battery life. Stretching the definition of Ultrabook, Acer has even incuded an ...

Like UnlikeFiled in: NotebooksASUSnVIDIA
The time many of you have been waiting for has finally arrived. Not only have we just got our first real look at NVIDIA’s quad-core processor, the Tegra 3, but now we have more information on the very first tablet that will be using the snappy SoC, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime.
The Transformer Prime is a significant upgrade from the still-popular original. However, the Prime in its name is there for a reason. The tablet is being marketed as a premium tablet, and of course, it is. Because of that, the pricing for the Transformer Prime isn’t the same as the original, which was aimed at the mainstream consumer. That said, if you’re looking to be the cock of the walk with your next tablet ...

We know you're going to be shocked -- shocked! -- to hear this, but NVIDIA's gone and refreshed its high-end line of GeForce GTX cards. The GTX 580M takes the place of the GTX 485M, and NVIDIA's bragging that it's the "fastest notebook GPU ever," capable, we're told, of besting the Radeon HD 6970M's tesselation performance by a factor of six.
