T-Mobile Galaxy Note press shot outed - July 11th release date
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungT-MobileGALAXY Note
If you’ve been wanting to get your hands on a Samsung Galaxy Note via T-Mobile, it looks like you don’t have much longer to wait. A press shot of a T-Mobile branded Galaxy Note has leaked out, and rumor has it that the popular tablet/phone hybrid will be making its way to Magenta shelves on July 11th.
At the beginning of the month, Samsung stated that the company has already moved over 7 million Galaxy Notes, which is impressive for a device of its kind. The Note is a large device, and we’re pretty sure Samsung didn’t think it was going to take off the way it did. Well, lucky for them, the Note is selling well and having it on another carrier in the US should boost the sales even more.

T-Mobile Nokia Lumia 710 now available on Pre-Paid
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesNOKIAT-MobileLumia 710
The Nokia Lumia 710 is now available on Pre-Paid on T-Mobile USA where it costs only $249.99 with $50 refill, bringing the actual cost down only to $199. The handset is also available in store on Bestbuy where it is retailing for $299.
The handset appears to be the best specced from the Pre-Paid devices in the price range, with most offering 3 megapixel cameras, WVGA screens and Android 2.3, and some even running 600 Mhz processors, which we all know is buttery smooth on Android.
Nokia has the logistic scale to be able to compete in the low-end and still make money, so hopefully their handsets will get the recognition they deserve for the great value for money they deliver.

Samsung Galaxy S III coming to AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and US Cellular this month
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungVerizon WirelessT-MobileAT&TSprintGalaxy S III
Official is as official does... right? In a bid to one-up the Galaxy S II's launch here in the States, Samsung has just announced that five carriers will soon have their own customized versions of the Galaxy S III. And by "soon," we mean "beginning in June." AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and US Cellular are all in line to take part, with exact pricing and availability to be announced by each of the five carriers in the coming weeks. We are, however, told to expect on-contract prices as low as $199, and it sounds as if all five variants will keep the same 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display.

Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesHTCT-MobileSensation 4G
HTC’s last year flagship, the Sensation 4G, has just dropped in price to the sweet zero on T-Mobile, and it seems like now is the best time to get a high-end handset that can still take a beating in today’s smartphone market for very little. TMo is offering the Sensation 4G for free on a limited time offer that kicked off this week.
And here’s what you get for your zero dollars and a two-year contract tie: a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, a 4.3-inch qHD display, a capable 8-megapixel camera and connection to T-Mobile’s 4G HSPA+ network.

T-Mobile ICS updates lost on Samsung
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesOperating SystemsT-MobileGoogleAndroid 4.0
It seems that everyone with a Samsung phone or tablet will be getting an upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich soon, with some limits, except for basically the entirety of T-Mobile. Sad as it may seem, Samsung’s big list of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades today appears very much to have been relegated to everyone except for T-Mobile. T-Mobile Samsung devices that otherwise might have been upgradable at the moment include the Exhibit II 4G, Galaxy S Blaze 4G, and the Galaxy S II in white and titanium, each of these being suspiciously absent from the updates list.

Samsung's Galaxy Note is currently exclusive to AT&T in the United States, but T-Mobile users that would like to use the device on their network of choice may not have to end up resorting to software hacks after all. TmoNews has a series of photos of what appears to be a branded T-Mobile version of the 5.3-inch device. A look inside the battery compartment reveals a model number of SGH-T879, with the phone also reporting that it is running version 4.0.3 of Android. Several carrier-specific apps are also pictured on the homescreen, including T-Mobile Mail, T-Mobile TV, and My T-Mobile. Of course, these should be taken with a grain of salt until the device becomes official, but it appears that...

Samsung has posted a list of the smartphones and tablets available in the U.S. that it plans to upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich at some point this year. Most of the phones on the list have already been promised upgrades to Android 4.0 by their carriers, but it never hurts to have further confirmation from the manufacturer. Still missing from the upgrade list? Any variant of the original Galaxy S, though, that's not entirely unexpected.

T-Mobile G2X finally gets the bug-squashing update it needed a year ago
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesT-MobileG2x
Once upon a time, the T-Mobile G2X had promise that no other Android phone had. The US variant of the world’s first dual-core phone was met with a lot of praise, which turned into a mess. The stupid powerful handset suffered from handfuls of bugs, which resulted in it being pulled from shelves, only to return with minimal improvements. Well, it looks like the handset may finally be receiving the update it needed out of the gate – literally over a year since its release.
