Pirate Bay could be blocked in UK after court ruling

The Pirate Bay could be blocked by internet service providers (ISPs) in the UK after a High Court ruling that its operators "incite or persuade" copyright infringement.
No representatives of The Pirate Bay attended the hearing. The case was taken to court by a group of major record labels including EMI, Sony and Universal.
The record labels want to force ISPs like BT, Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin Media to block their users from accessing The Pirate Bay website.
Mr Justice Arnold said: "In my judgment, the operators of [The Pirate Bay] do authorise its users' infringing acts of copying and communication to the public. They go far beyond merely enabling or assisting.
