New Apple CEO Tim Cook is in Asia to open New Apple Stores?

This weekend Apple opens two new Apple Stores in Asia. On September 23 the new Apple Store in Shanghai opens its doors followed by the new Hong Kong Apple Store on Saturday. According to MICGadget the local press in Hong Kong is talking about Tim Cook attending the Store openings. These store openings would mark the first public appearance of Tim Cook as CEO of Apple as far as i know.
Asia is a big driving factor for Apple's business. And the company is still at the very beginning to leverage the vast Asian market.
