T-Mobile Q2 Results Show 50,000 Net Subscribers Lost

T-Mobile customers jumped ship in large numbers during Q1 2011, perhaps due to the AT&T acquisition announcement in March, but losses seem to be improving for Q2. T-Mobile saw a net loss of 50,000 subscribers in Q2, which is down from 99,000 net subscribers lost in Q1. CEO of Deutsche Telekom Rene Obermann says, ““The United States remains a difficult market for Deutsche Telekom, but we see improvements compared to the first quarter of 2011.”
Perhaps T-Mobile’s figures will improve as it continues its HSPA+ or “4G” rollout through the country. For all the details, see the press release below. »read more
