LG announced today two new HDTVs that will become the company’s new flagship series, the 47LW980T and 55LW980T. The series feature LG’s passive 3D technology as well as 2D-to-3D conversion, Smart TV technology. LG has also included 4 HDMI ports, and dual USB ports with DivX HD support. The screens use LED backlighting, which enables the screens to measure only 27.55mm (1.1 inches) thick. Other major features will include full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, smartphone control, DLNA, and a 400Hz refresh rate. LG has also stated that they will be including 7 pairs of 3D glasses with each TV. However, retail prices and a release date have not been announced at this time. »read more
