Sony released a major update today for its Music Unlimted service that streams music to PlayStation 3 consoles. The update brings an interface overhaul for the service on PS3, but more importantly, adds new music discovery capabilities as well as a “My Channels” feature that lets you customize your music listening experience.
The My Channels feature seems to take a page from Pandora, letting you create your own radio stations with songs selected based around your favorite artists. You type in the artist name and the station will automatically be populated with songs from that artist as well as similar songs from other artists.
