Poor sound quality
Follow Problem
A friend of mine has problem with his old Vizo Plasma: when watching TV prgroams and DVDs, the sound quality is very poor. TV is connected to DVD unit with a component cable (just for information). What can be the reason?
Problem solved
Audio amp is broken and the TV is taken for repair

Some years ago I had the same problem and turning off the surround sound, fixed the problem.

Maybe the DVD is not properly grounded...you didn`t mention how you are watching TV are you using the built-in TV tuner?
