I've replaced the hard drive several times - current size is 750GB. Apple says this machine uses 4GB RAM, but I discovered it works better with 6 GB (2 GB + 4 GB).
I've got 2 1TB Raid +1 drives and 6 1TB drives connected through FireWire 800, a LaCie Super WriteMaster LightScribe drive in the FireWire 400 port, and a SynchMaster 245T as an external monitor.
The USB chain contains a CannoScan 8800F, Nikon LS-50, Cannon Pro 9000 Mark II, and an Epson R280. Micro receiver for Logitech Nano mouse + 1 open USB port.
Wireless: Brother Laser.
Massive overkill for this machine but I can't afford a Mac Pro.

Holy crap....someone surely has plenty of time of their hands. I hope that setup can do some chores as well
