We all know that OS of Mac is 10x better than Windows but most new programmers and software they release and train for Windows. If we start to talk about games right now than Windows Platform should stand at first because more then 80% games made for windows system not for OS Snow Leopard. Yeah guys you can say that I will boot 2 OS (Windows\Mac) at a same time with a dual boot loader. Now who want that much trouble. most of the guys and gals want there PC perfect and simple, again perfect and simple to finish their job and requirement. There is some cons of windows. Hackers and Viruses are really bothering Windows users then Mac users. So guys think yourself which one is better. Judge, decide and mark.

I primarily use a mac and I love it. However, I agree with Trimotrack about how most software is made for windows. It's kinda hard to ignore windows because of this. That being said, I'm going to be dual booting windows on my mac soon and I'm looking forward to having a ton of flexibility.
I like both..... there are both pros and cons for both systems. Graphic editing is awesome on Macs but games are the thing on PC's

Mac better for pictures, music, movies. PC better for business, just because its 95% all work computer. Windows 7 is the best thing Microsoft has done in well.... EVER.
if ur a HARDCORE business person, windows, but anything else, MAC!!! i LOOOOVE my mac!!!!
simple: if you want gaming and open availability of all software :windows.
If you want a simplified interface that just works, and you don't worry about having the newest or best software all the time: then mac.
Im not saying the mac is bad, i have several, it is a walled garden and you should realize this going in.
And as far as windows goes, it does everything, albeit a bad experience most of the time with viruses and crashing and what not. I wouldn't install it on a computer if it didn't come with it.

My vote goes for MAC, but people do prefer Windows, the reason being the availability of pirated softwares and maximum training center uses windows.
Advantage of MAC is the screen color resolution + minimum virus threat + stability u don't see the BSOD in MAC.

Dont know why it is assumed that business people must use win? I use Mac with Microsoft Office in it. It serves all my purpose!!! I have an iphone with mobile me and i get blackberry kind of experience!!! Even if u use BB, it is compatible with mac!
This discussion is like comparing Coke to Pepsi. Pepsi likes to think it is competing with Coke but Coke pulls in tons of revenue over and above Pepsi. Same thing with Windows and Mac. Sure, Mac is flashy and picking up steam, but business (other than graphic art and animation) is OWNED by Windows because it is more configurable, less stringent on usage rights, and easier to program. Therefore, unless Macintosh stops catering to the casual user and has some serious server and programming freedom and flexibility, hands down, Microsoft will dominate. Oh yeah, Windows 7 rules!
In my experience, Mac has proven to be far more reliable. I fought it for quite some time... always used top quality virus software and didn't go to any freaky sites, but my windows computers always crashed and needed to be reformatted. I haven't had a single problem in over a year with my Mac.
I go for windows it got more applications...and i love games only windows can support the latest games ..

I use both. When I want to get some work done and/or play some games -> Windows. When I just want to surf the web and not think -> Mac!

Definitely in India its Windows.. Personally I think windows is better than mac probably cuz i have been using it for like all my life.. so..
To be honest, if you never used a MAC, try Linux first. They are so similar you can do that to get familiar with a MAC.
Now, with that being said....you know why Windows is best. Windows is made for the average user, Joe Public. With a MAC, it helps to get comfortable using the Terminal. There are lil things on a MAC that just feel strange compared to Windows. Vise versa too. It would be nice to go back in time and have them both used by the majority of ppl in the world to see what ppl would really prefer.
The hacker/virus issue is a moot point if you have decent internet security. Ask Firefox about what happens when you become popular....I guarentee if it was reversed and MACs were in most peoples homes and businesses the hacker/virus debate would be reversed too.
i love windows because it supports my family, that being i am a computer tech and all day everyday i am fixing windows computers! 100% of the time its a virus, spyware, malware and trojans...personally at home i have a iMac ;)
Mac is the best of all in all respects. It has got softwares which has far more excellent performance than Windows Softwares and on top of it apple os is VIRUS FREE :)
I have used windows for a YEARS and i now have a Macbook with snowleopard and frankly, with the Windows for apple, no issues. in fact the mac is more solid and faster compared to my top of line dells i have had.
I would say that the Mac's OS is a better operation system. I have used PC's in the past, for several years as a matter of fact, but I have never found the easy of use or the robustness that I now find in the Mac. Although windows 7 is impressive I still find it as a knockoff of the Mac OS. Just my two cents.
