Gingerbread interface to Honeycomb tablets

If you change the display density of your rooted Honeycomb tablet, then you get the UI of the Gingerbread. That is not bad, but I don't know if it changes only the UI or the whole menage of the device? Other thing is that, you increase the density and it may corrupt the display. What do you think about this upgrade (or downgrade :D)

Pesonally I like the honeycomb interface better than the gingerbread one.
How do you change the display density? What exactly changes?

I prefer the Honeycomb interface as well.
