Intel joins in on Nortel patent auction; OK'd by the feds

Intel has become the latest company to get approval from the federal government to bid on Nortel's suite of wireless technology patents that go up for auction next week. Yesterday, it was reported that Apple had gained approval, while Google has had a bid in on the patents for some time now. The suite of patents cover technologies like 4G LTE and Wi-Fi, and are very attractive to any company in, or looking to get into, the wireless market (as is the case with Intel).
