Sony is greeting 2012 by cutting $100 off the price of its Sony Tablet S. The more traditional of the manufacturer's two tablets, the haircut brings the 16GB model to $399.99 and the 32GB version to $499.99. There is no indication that Sony is cutting the price in order to clear inventory nor is there any sign that the Japanese tech giant is planning a sequel that it needs to clear room for. In fact, the company recently confirmed that both of its tablets will be getting updated to Android 4.0.
