Yeah they are definitely overpriced.
Plenty of cheaper "alternatives", guys. It's a thing Apple do seem to be good at - not compromising quality.
Not compromising quality......weren't 27" iMacs with display problems...before a year or two?

Yeah, but a cheaper option wont compromise quality considering what you are going to pay for it.
And the iPhone 4S should be coming out anyway, so not a problem

Nothing really, they are elegant and have everything you need. Unless Apple have come up with some new technology to make their iMacs even thinner or something, I don't see why they need a new Mac line at this time.
And the price needs to be cheaper like ChiX said.
