Hmm… this is… kinda… strange. Only a week after we said webOS is pretty much dead, HP hinted its TouchPad may get a software update. And it’s not the software release that would make the tablet run Android (CyanogenMod is used for that), but an actual webOS-based update.
We’ve no idea what will be included in any such software, nor whether it will actually be released. If that happens, the update will “enhance the platform and add functionality” to the TouchPad. HP’s spokesperson said those words in a reply to email from CNet.
