ViewSonic puts out slim VX2451mhp-LED desktop display

ViewSonic has added another entry to its portfolio of higher-end computer LCDs. The 24-inch VX2451mhp-LED offers a 1080p resolution using LED backlighting. Its dynamic contrast ratio is a high claimed 20,000,000:1.
The display is pitched as eco-friendly in both its manufacture and real-world use. Its manufacturing process is both mercury-free and toxin-free, ViewSonic said. In Eco mode, its power consumption can be reduced by 50 percent. Video output typically consumes only 25W.
The display's viewing angles of 170 degrees horizontal and 160 degrees vertical give away that it's likely using a lower-cost TN panel. Its average pixel refresh rate is 5ms. Typical brightness is rated at 300 cd/m2.... »read more
