What you think of the NOOK tablet?

Do you think this is worth buying, considering the slightly higher price point compared to Kindle Fire? The specs are upgraded a little, but not in a significant way and from what I've seen lately, the specs aren't the only factor when talking performance and speed. Battery life is supposed to be better boasting some 11+ hours reading time, which is cool. And what's up with that weird hole down the bottom left hand side, I've always wondered is there any reason for it, besides the design stand-out?
So, what do you think? Are you spending $50 more on ram and storage?

I think it's a good gadget. For extra $50, you get superior display, dedicated apps for Netflix and Hulu Plus, free technical support. But also, it depends on how much you use Amazon and its services like MP3 store or Amazon Prime video. I'm not so big Amazon fan and will get the NOOK tablet :)
