While hard drives for its computers have been affected by the floods in Thailand, Asus is still a powerhouse in the motherboard market. According to a Digitimes report, the company has just announced that its products make up 70 percent of the global market share for motherboards using the Intel X79 Express chipset. The X79 is a niche product, but the company's other motherboards made a strong showing as well, with Asus motherboards using the Intel Z68 and P67 chipsets apparently reaching 50 to 60 percent market share. »read more
