Adding to AT&T's earlier headache, a wireless data outage in the Northeastern part of the U.S., the company is emailing some of its customers to inform them of an "organized and systemic" hack attempt that was made on customer accounts. The company further states "we do not believe that the perpetrators of this attack obtained access to your online account or any of the information contained in that account." AT&T spokesperson Mark Siegel said that less than one percent of the company's customers were affected and that no accounts were breached. He also stated that AT&T would continue to investigate to determine the source of the attack. »read more
