Epson announced today the launch of the world’s first high-temperature polysilicon TFT-liquid crystal panels for 3D 3LCD projectors. This is a huge advancement since Epson is one of the few major companies that hasn’t released a 3D projector yet. The display panel utilizes a new technology that Epson calls the “Bright 3D Drive,” which brightens 3D images by doubling the image refresh rate from 240 Hz to 480 Hz. This technology is able to brighten the image by 1.5 times for 3D images.
