Canadian carrier Telus will launch its LTE network across several provinces on Friday. The network will supplement its current HSPA+ network and should reach 25 million customers by the end of 2012. A handful of new LTE devices, including the Samsung Galaxy Tab and LG Optimus, will be available starting February 10; the Galaxy Note will be coming a few days later.
Telus expects its network to reach average speeds of 12 to 25Mbps, with a theoretical limit of 75Mbps. That's about average for Canada's LTE networks, although Rogers offers a couple of devices that can connect at (theoretically) faster speeds. Yellowknife launched LTE over Winnipeg, and Regina. I'm not surprised...just sayin'. Sheesh.
