Actually my brother stays in Seattle,Washington and hes coming to india...so I would like to know that can I ask him to bring iphone 4 8gb....and what is the procedure in unlocking the phone in India...I don't know much about it but I have heard that people do jailbreak or something like that...reply ASAP :)

Level 4 Regardless, jailbreaking an iphone 4s is really easy, there are dozens of vids on youtube and even more websites that explain the process in great detail.

As for unlocking you'll have to install something like UltraSn0w (one of many unlocking apps) after jailbreaking

None of this guarantees that you'll be able to use the phone on your network, there may be other hardware limitations. I would find someone with a working iphone that came from the states and see how they did it.
