Samsung Sets up a Separate Business Just for LCDs

Samsung's LCD business is big, and thanks to the recent acquisition of Sony's piece of a joint LCD venture it's been getting even bigger. The folks at Samsung are through trying to manage such a big business within the greater structure and are spinning off a new company that's going to be handling LCDs and LCDs alone.
Of course, there's a much bigger benefit than just organizational ease. The upcoming launch of Samsung Display will allow the company to respond more quickly to customer demand, shift directions in a more timely fashion and, of course, focus all its efforts on one specific task.
