According to a report released by HIS iSuppli, the price of HDTVs have risen for the third straight month. Part of this price hike is due to the more companies releasing 3DTVs, which are typically more expensive. The report states that the average price of flat panel TVs have risen as high as $10 a month for the past three months. “The biggest pricing increases for flat-panel televisions last month were among the new 3D models employing active shutter glasses, the most popular type of three-dimensional set on the market today,” said Riddhi Patel, director for television systems and retail services at IHS. »read more
