Beginner's DSLR camera, advice please.

I'm looking for some not-so-expensive Digital SLR camera to start with photography as a hobby. What would you recommend for a total beginner?

Looking at some cameras here which might be considered an entry-level DSLRs, all within reasonable price range:

1. Canon EOS Rebel T2i
2. Nikon D3000
3. Sony Alpha DSLR-A230
4. Olympus E-620

Nikon D3000 doesn't have live view, its display is only for changing settings. I would try T2i if I was you..

When I bought my first DSLR the dealbreaker for me was price and image quality. Which led me to Olympus E-410, which for me is a descent beginners camera, the new model E-450 is around $600 so I'd would suggest checking it out.

How about the camera pack below for about $700? Worth buying?

You can buy it even for $600 at Amazon...The lens can be used for everything (they are somewhat universal for begginers). The camera is a solid one, with good set of RAW and JPEG processing tools and effects and other features
