PCIe bandwidth

I have two PCIe slots, one primary and one "slave". When I put two VGA cards they run at 8x+8x. My question is, if I put PCIe soundcard (1x or 4x) what will be the bandwidth distribution?

If your motherboard is with x58 chipset it surely runs at full 16 lanes because total of 36 lanes are available. Otherwise I think it runs at 8x only if its in CrossFire or SLI.
