Linux Ubuntu 11.10 Questions & Answers
Ubuntu 11.10, is out! Who has it, and is it worth while?

I went to check my morning set ups and was instantly prompted to upgrade to Ubuntu 11.10. Aside of the time constraints of having to possibly wait hours for it to fully upload, in the online tour it doesn't really look any different than 11.04. So, is there a functionality improvement to consider?

I haven`t tried it yet but you can read about the differences here:

You`re saying there is no difference, so it is still quite stable? Because I can`t decide whether to update or not...
Any improvements on the LiveCD? Last time I needed quick data grab from linux terminal, I faced some issues installing apps while only previewing (without installing) Ubuntu from a LiveCD.
I don`t think that they changed the installer in any way...
That is to be expected. Most options on the LiveCD don't give you write privileges. And they won't let you change them until it is uploaded.
Running it in VM. Haven't seen much of a differance yet. Just some minor face lift things
