Samsung will soon start pushing a new firmware update for its flagship Galaxy S II smartphone. As far as we know, it will be a small release, packing two noticeable changes – bigger icons (up to 30% bigger) and the System Update widget, from where users will be able to quickly see whether a new software version is available and promptly take action.
Aside from that, it’s kinda safe to assume there will be some other changes under the hood, though at the moment we can’t confirm this. Similarly, I guess some of the Samsung apps will get tweaks and the device should be faster after the update.
