Galaxy S2 Release is on August 29, Confirmed.

Earier today we reported that the Galaxy S2 is not launching today as was rumored. Just now Samsung Mobile sent us an invite to a media event on August 29 in New York. The invite is not revealing much, but it has a "II" on it. The II clearly hints to the Samsung Galaxy S2 and since the invite is from Samsung Mobile it is almost sure that the 29 marks the launch of the Galaxy S2 in the US. Now I just saw that the image of the invite flyer has actually "Galaxy_S_II" in the file name. So there is no doubt that the Galaxy S2 will be released on August 29. »read more
