Google pairs up with iRiver for first Google Books e-reader

Google has announced a new partnership with hardware manufacturer iRiver for the first e-reader that is integrated with the Google Books platform. The Story HD looks strikingly similar to the original Amazon Kindle, but it has the ability to purchase and read Google Books over a Wi-Fi connection.
With the Story HD, you can access Google's library of 3 million free ebooks and hundreds of thousands that are for sale. The Story HD has direct access to the Google Books database, so you do not need to sideload books on to it through a computer.
