Is it patent troll versus patent troll?
A subsidiary of Cascades Ventures, a patent licensing company, has sued RPX Corp, a spinoff of Intellectual Ventures, as well as Dell, Google, HTC, LG, and Motorola Mobility for violations of antitrust law and conspiracy to "monopsonize," or accumulate a monopoly of sorts over the buyer's side of the market.
Cascades Computer Innovation seeks damages and other retribution in a filing dated Mar. 6. For its part, an RPX spokesman said that the company had seen the suit but declined to comment. »read more
