Level 3 For $899 you can get that 15-incher: http://www.meetgadget.com/gadget/52305/iBUYPOWER+Battalion+101+W251HPQ

For $1319 17" FullHD:

There are probably quite a few companies that can get you a fairly strong gaming configurations for around $1000. IMO saving some cash for DELL Alienware or ASUS ROG entry models would be well worth the wait.

Level 4 Personally I think the Sager / Clevo line of laptops is a better option for gamers - you have a very wide range of graphics cards to choose from which can be upgraded as you would any PC without any warranty issues.

They have several selections in your price range. I would look for a system with the fastest dual core i5 processor you can afford with a minimum of 6 GB of memory. An SSD is nice, but probably out of your price range right now, but be sure to get a 7200 RPM drive.

Check out the owners forum at notebook review

Then head over to xotic PC and configure one http://www.xoticpc.com/custom-gaming-laptops-notebooks-gaming-laptops-ct-118_96_98.html

If you need to compare specs of processors or graphics cards you can do so at

Level 5 A little over $1000 - http://www.meetgadget.com/gadget/43507/MSI+GE620

I expected MSI to be way cheaper, however that's their cheapest gaming notebook and despite the looks it packs a lot of power inside. Should be fine for most of the games, I think.
